    Default Longview 7-9-2011 Decent

Got out for a couple hours today on Longview, between the wind and all the big boats, it was choppy. Caught all my fish in 5-10 foot of water, 2-8ft down. Best fish today was 1lb -8oz after he puked in my livewell and died. had a 1lb 2oz and a 1lb even. Everything else was smaller. Pic is from the 1-8. Caught all on Pink/White Slab Buster.

I've never been to Longview Lake; however, I think my buddy and I are going to head out there tomorrow. You mind telling me your whereabouts on the lake that you were catching these crappie?

From the main marina, head up the lake towards the beach. I was fishing in the standing timber on the left, past the beach. Then I went through the markers, and to the right and fished more timber in there. Wasn't a fish on every tree, they were here and there. On the left side there's 2 or 3 rows of trees that run parallel and the old river channel runs through the middle of them. That's a good area because the tree rows go from 30ft of water down to 10. Hope that helps.

Maybe this post will get my buddy and his family to come up here and fish with us! They live at LOZ but are sworn Truman folks, same as me. Sometimes you have to save money on trips, and this is the best way for me.
