springfield area?

headed over to springfield area and was wondering if it would be worth my time to bring some poles over to bank fish somewhere? might have some time to kill and i thought wht not get a line wet.

always fish when you can, couple good lakes close to springfield and james river south of town probably some good bank fishing, fellows lake I think has a couple fishing docks, Pommie, has a couple fishing docks close to bolovar landing, I have never fished off them but I did go up and look them over. pretty nice hope you find something to do

Don't know if they were catching anything or not,but there were people on the bank at springfield lake yesterday evening when we came home.

Micdaniels lake is very close to spfd also and there are a lot of fish caught of of bridge. I myself have never fished there but do now people that do and say they do so good luck. If you need some directions will help you. send me pm

No fishing from bridge anymore......not sure, but I heard the bridge was unsafe even for pedestrians.

McDaniel lake is in my back yard, people still fish off the bridge, dont know if its legal or not but they were there fishing on it yesterday.

the big question,were they catching anything.use to fish it alot during the winter cause the heater was just a few steps away if you got cold.havent been there much the last few years.
