Partner and I put in at daylight, fished along hardwoods down 6-12 feet in 20-25 feet of water. White and chartruse jig tipped with a minnow. Quit at 9 AM as it was getting very warm, finished with 22 keepers, largest was a 15 incher than weighed 1.5 pounds. It was the last keeper of the morning as it was a good place to stop. Partner had to get to work and I had to clean fish. Not a lot of fishermen out on a holiday weekend.

Wife and I were up there fishing Fri night and Saturday as well. It got so hot Saturday we had to jump in the water a few times to keep from melting.
Fishing was decent early on, but when it got hotter (and the ski/tube crowd increased) we'd had enough and took out just after lunch - a couple of fish shy of our Saturday limits as well.
Teach your kids to hunt and fish and you won't have to hunt for your kids !!
