Is Pickwick Lake in the Most Southern Section of TN and does it run into Arkansas or Mississippi? Can't remember which one of those two states the lake is located in. If that is the lake then I have a Bill Dance Fishing Video that has some good information on crappie fishing in that lake in the winter time. I got it from the internet. It shows him fishing in an area with rocky bluffs and a very steep dropoff in the water. Almost a vertical drop off. He was catching lots of slabs that day too. Nice sunny calm winter day and he was catching them fairly deep. 10 to 15ft or so if my memory serves me right. But he didn't really say where in the lake he was fishing. I need to watch that video again someday to see if I can pick up more information.

I was thinking that lake was near Nashville TN but that is another lake that I am thinking of. Percy Priest Lake is near Nashville and I get that lake and Pickwick Lake mixed up sometimes.

I sent you a p.m. a few days ago about pickwick cowboy. I know where it is. I came within about eight miles of it from my trip back from Arkansas. I have never fished it, don't know of anyone on here who is near there. These people on here are good people, if they know anything, they will tell you. Take care and good luck to you. Sorry i couldn't help.

Have a White's Metal Detector myself, all i have found is a bunch of pennies and empty beer cans. Of course, that was in my boat.

Sounds like a cool idea. Thanks for the offer. I may have to take you up on that someday. I enjoy civil war stuff and fishing both.

i dont know if you're interested or not, but roger gant guides on pickwick in the winter last i heard. it would cost some$$$, but it would be worth it. everyone i've talked to says he's the best at putting you on fish. he could definitely give you a starting point on how to fish that lake.
