    Lightbulb Cod Liver Oil

How many of you guys spray or dip your jigs in cod liver oil? I spray mine with a good dose of cod liver oil before I use them and then spray more on from time to time. I believe it helps.

Don't know anything about the liver oil but I use Spike It, Garlic Oil. I swear by the stuff. I friend of mine last summer started fishing with me and we were throwing jigs. Asked him if he wanted some a he said "naw". After I boated six fish without him catching anything he decided he might try it. The downside is you need to eat before going fishing because the stuff will make you hungry for spaghetti. Gets me every time! Scent is not a cure all but it definetly a piece of the puzzle. If your not using it, whatever the scent...you should be.

When I was a kid, we used to fish with shad gizzards for catfish. Smelled just like cod liver oil, so I guess it will attract fish.

I use several different types, but now that I have some pure shad oil I am giving it a try the next few months. I also have some Menhaden oil and from the same people some crawfish oil. I found the place that sells this oil and decided to give it a try not only with crappie, but catfish as well.

Whats the name of the place that you buy the oil from, and do you
think soaking carp filets in the codliver oil would make it a good bait?

    Thanks

Yes, it sounds like you are catfishing to me. I do both, sometimes at the same time. You need to log on to www.catfish1.com to get some great catfish information.
