Not crappie. But I caught my biggest catfish ever saturday.

It isn't big compared to BIG standards but it is my biggest and gave me a tussle on my rod & reel. I got a 21 1/2 lb. flathead saturday afternoon. Was using my Abu Garcia baitcaster (red reel) on an Ugly Stick rod. 40 lb. green Offshore tightline line with a 4/0 circle hooks. Love them circle hooks. Also had a crawler on. It didn't bite hard. It was just fiddling with it so I picked up my pole to check it because it acted like a little 12 incher. I reeled the line tight and OH the fight was on. Hands Clapping My husband asked me how it felt and I said bigger than 10 lbs and not a carp. Didn't take just bulldogged its way around. With the water being so muddy we didn't get to see it until it was at the boat and top of water. Husband scooped him up with the net and he was mine.Hands Clapping I couldn't beleive that I actually got it. Usually husband gets the biggest fish on our trips. I had even picked the spot to fish. the excitement hasn't gone away yet.
