    Jimmie,

Lake is holding around 613 (normal pool is 606) and it's fairly dirty.......managed to get over there Sunday and caught fish, but nothing spectacular. It was a catch and release day anyway, however we boated atleast 60-70, lotta 8-10" fish.

Seems as though some of the crappie have juuuuuuuust started to get into their summer pattern (creek channels & structure), but very spread out.

    Good Luck!

    U

not many fishing but level fairly stable. fish 10-12 feet down in 20 feet of water. black and cartruse jigs tipped with a minnow vertical fishing near trees. Keep moving, only one or two fish per tree. Good luck!

    Question Middle Fork

    Route U

Where you in Middle Fork again or did you move closer to the dam? I fished middle fork last week and it was dead.

    Thanks

    N2,

We actually stopped and put in at the lower end since we were bringing the boat back over from home.........instead of trailering all the way to our cabin and then backtracking. We fished Dry Fork and spent some time in Little Indian, just jumping around.

I've heard Middle Fork has been dead for quite some time, which is about normal for this time.....

I have not fished twain since memorial weekend, but middle fork was slow then. of course lots of things have changed since and all the crappie don't leave the entire middle fork arm in summer. the fishing there is definatly hit or miss, but I think it is still worth a shot because if ya do find em there in summer, they are usually very good fish and in good numbers.
when the water is real dirty and I can't get anything going on the upper end, I have had good luck running to the lower end and trolling crankbaits or jigs along long points and bluffs. I would guess that the trolling bite would be heating up by now.
has anyone seen any young of the year shad schools yet? about time to start seeing that black cloud in the water. hope its as good as it was last year. I think that was a major factor to this years fine crappie fishin.

    SP,

Haven't seen the big bait balls yet, but have seen quite a few small shad flippin around..........hoping for another productive year for them also. It's also about time to get the green light out and do some night fishin!
