    Thumbs up Night fishing truman

Fished Saturday night out of Osage Bluff, caught limit on minnows,
started biting at 9:30 sharp, 35 ft. of water, only 8-10 feet deep, surprised me
how shallow they were. caught lots of shorts but keepers were about 10 inches.
fished large cove about half way back, pole timber, didn't see any shad
but the crappie were there. water 80 degrees, may try some jigs next time
but I always get my money's worth in minnows at the marina. Used submergable
lights, had to use clear, left my green one in the other boat.

Nice report John. And congrats on the catch. I just went and bought a new light and it sounds like I may need to get out and give it a try pretty soon.

Are the daytime crappie in a summer pattern. Heading down end of next week for a good stay. Mostly fish around the osage and grand. Anybody on here ever troll cranks for the crappie there?
