I wouldnt eat anything out of union.
If there's a better fish to eat, I haven't tasted it yet. But, I've had people tell me that Union is contaminated. I haven't seen any state warning signs like the ones for the northern pikeminnow. Anybody eat the crappie from Lake Union?
I wouldnt eat anything out of union.
same. about 6 months ago divers found an open sewage/ waste pipe under the water flowing from one of the near by hospitals. among the waste they found syringes . if you dont eat them very much, it probably wont hurt you.....that much.Originally Posted by MastaFisher

A motto I live by. :D
go dawgs!!
My dad eats them about twice a month. He's still alive lol. The thing about consumption warnings is that the state only test the guts of the fish and base their warnings on that. The WDFW will be the first people to tell you that the levels of containments in the meat of the fish is far lower then what is stated in consumption warnings. I think you'd have to eat about 20lbs of fish in a sitting to get sick myself.
Yeah Id eat them, but not very often.
You definitely don't want to eat the brown trout . . .
Yeah, I think I got introduced to those in January. Took my little boy to the sports show in Puyallup. Just as we were leaving he saw the pond where they were catching the fish. He pulled out two nice size fish and wouldn't practice catch and release. First fish he had caught since fall and he was gonna eat them. HOD DAMN, maybe I cooked them wrong or something.Originally Posted by Moose Eyes
I was referring to the OTHER "brown trout"!
Well, with the way it tasted I don't think there's a whole lot of difference between the two. Quite honestly I would have rather eaten dirt.Originally Posted by Moose Eyes
