Default Ideas On Fishing High Water

We have gone from lake levels being below average for this time of year to the lake being flooded and muddy. Males were being caught in good numbers in 3 to 5 foot water before all the rains came.

Now the night time temperatures are expected to be in the high 30 to low 40 degree range with daytime highs only reaching 50 degrees.

As my buddy and I are going to be on vacation the rest of this week to fish I was wanting to hear from some of you guys on how you would approach fishing these new conditions.

The lake is high enough that we will have to use the high water ramps. I checked the dam and they are not releasing any water because the Arkansas River can't handle it yet.

If the water is in the living trees, fish them. If they aren't there and you have current, then fish the down current side of any structure.
