since the tournament was cancelled, i figured my papaw would be happy to dine on the good fish i found.
Ended up with 13 keepers(10" and over) had 3 fish right at 13", 1 fish 14.25".
Spawn is ending, did catch mostly males, some still jet black, most loosing their colors.
Rough guess would be between 200-250 fish caught
Also had 9 bluegills, 9" males.
Swam jigs for the big girls, jig and bobber caught the rest.
fished 1-4 fow all day.

yep, gills, crappies and bass are all on beds there.
i think the next moon will be the bigger gill spawn though
Also an interesting note, caught 3 golden shiners today, thats a first for me

Man them gills are to much fun when you time them right....golden shiners?? Sounds like good catfish bait to me ha ha.....last year Jr and I targeted gills for the 1st time and had a ball, we had several pushing 11inches, one in my avatar pic was right at....was good times looking fwd to it again.
