Default suprize catches with berkley gulp alive waxies

who needs minnow and jigs when you have.... berkley gulp alive waxies?
yesterday i went fishing at a lake in portage county. my friend was using a mimic minnow fry jig in shiner color, and i was using a berkley gulp alive waxie on a no.8 amberdeen hook. i was going for gills and sunfish, but as it turns out, the crappie were turned off. they just wernt biting on minnows and jigs. but for some odd reason, the berkley gulp alive waxies were just hot!! hooked onto 10 crappie, caught 5. plus two warmouth, 5 male bull gills. and some hybrids.

Nice. I use them when jigging threw the ice in the winter. Sometimes they work and sometimes they don't.
If vegetable oil is made from vegetables, what's baby oil made from?

definately give them a try. this is the rig i use when the fishing gets tough. i thought about using a dressed hook with squirrel tail and tipped with a berkley gu........ you know what? im just going to use a shorter version. BGAW and casting with a ice fishing float. as amatter of fact, im going to lake anna tuesday or wensday. might give it a try then.

I am a firm believer in the Berkley Gulp products as well as many other soft plastics. I put the hurtin on some pretty good gills this past weekend with nothing but jigs and soft plastics. I would be willing to bet that my jig and soft plastic rig produced more good - big gills then most, if not all, other baits being used on the lake. Gotta love that stuff and it lasts much longer between rebaiting then live bait.
It is not about the equipment you have to use,
It is about how you use the equipment you have. :D

I am glad you posted this as I have been wondering if they were worth the price they are asking. I guess I'll get some and try them for myself.

    Thanks -

I just ordered about 10 different gulp products from bass pro. Just thought I would let everyone know they have a mail in rebate right now.
