find that place where you saw the guys fishing the spawning fish and move off a few feet from the spaw bank and look for a drop off or a small channel and drag your favorite bait, we used home made and store bought plastic bait and all worked verry well, good luck and start looking for them deeper crappie

water was 69 to 72 and they are 3/4 of the way through spawn. most of the fish I cleaned were spawned out females, with a small male or two in the mix, only 4 still had eggs.

On the body of water i fish I know there are crappie in these same types of places. When you say slow troll. Could you please explain. Are we talking about long line or more vertical. One jig or two to a pole. The fish i was catching last week were in deep water coves. We call them sloughs or sometimes creeks. Anyways they are no longer there. Any info would be a big help. Thanks
