    Default new rod and reel to kill 'em with!!


    i just got the shakespeare ugly stik ultralight combo today for 34.99!! it's a size 20 reel loaded with stren line, has suprizingly smooth reeling for a 1ball bering reel, and it just feels right!! pics will come soon.

    i also thought about getting a new reel for it. i was looking at the south bend microlite S class.

    I have that same reel like yours on another rod of mine. It's a good reel and I never have had any problems with it.

    Outta try a slab seeker by zebco/quantum! Theyve got the micro tiny slap tip... extremely sensitive yet good backbone. I sell them in my shop and can't keep them in stock! Hard to beat the ugly stick though.... it'd be a close second any day!!! NICE SET FOR THE MONEY!!!

    i looked at that! i thought about getting it, but the ugly stik came first.
    im getting a chance to try it out tommarrow at portage lakes or at a marina.
