Brad Whitehead and his family
forecast was for 6 mhp winds. ........Yeah, right :p
At 5:15 am, I arrived at the launch with 10 mph winds and about 7 boats waiting to sign up and launch. WE ended up with 13 teams, and 25 fishermen.
Results were as follows:
Waters/Stegall 7.50
Richardson/Nicholson 6.58
Vess/Freemen 3.84
Edwards/Engle 3.83
Dodd/Ledbetter 2.28
Echols/Echols 2.27
Whitehead/Quillen 2.21
Whitehead/QUillen 2.21 Big Fish
Everyone came to the weigh-in, but only 7 teams weighed fish. It was a tough day. The wind blew about 15-20 with gusts up to 25. Started pretty cold and finally warmed as the sun popped out about 11:00.
The team of Waters/Stegall caught all their fish in First creek, not far from the marina. The team of Richardson/Nicholson caught their fish in Second creek. The whitehead /Quillen team caught their big fish in second creek. A few good fish were caught in the mouth of Elk River by the team of Vess/Freemen.

I would like to thank all our sponsors for their support. The door prizes are nice that way everybody walks away with something. Fishing was tough for our team yesterday but David and Pat made it look easy. Good job fellows.
