Black Lake

Just wondeering how the lake was I live in PA and my son and I are coming up at the end of the month for a week. Love the lake and the fishing . Are the crappie on yet?

Is that up near Ogdensburg? If so, I would imagine within the next week or two that things will get started up there. With the wet spring, water temps have been slow to come up on any larger bodies of water, but now that we're finally into a bit of a dry spell, with daytime temps getting to mid 60's and 70s, I would imagine the water temps will be going up in short order. The small local lakes I fish here along the south shore of Lake Ontario are just now getting a little over 60 degrees, the fish are starting to go shallow, but aren't spawning yet, and a bigger body of water farther north like Black lake, I'm guessing will be at least a week or two behind. I would imagine that by the end of the month the spawn will be at, or just past peak there in the North country.
