I single pole, but I've came across some areas that would be good to spider rig, but its just not my thing
Do any of you LoZ guys mess with spider rigging any or just stick to brush and docks? LoZ is where I do most of my crappie fishing and it's always near docks so I spend most time dock shooting.
I'm looking at upgrading trolling motors soon and am trying to decide whether to go with a cable steer Maxxum or an Ipilot Terrova.

Was down there a about a month ago. Fished docks and spider rigged. Riggin was by far more productive. Never took very long to put a limit in the boat
When you were rigging docks, were you just trolling along the front of the docks or sitting on top of them with several rods out?
We trolled over the brush people had in front of their docks. We also caught suspended fish halfway back in the creeks. Just have to watch the electronics to see how deep they were.
Never ben but would really like to try it, especially on LOZ cuz i've seen some dandies from some guys doin it here. If anyone has a day where they have an open seat on LOZ to go spider rig give me a shout. I would gladly give gas money or maybe even info on some "SUPER SECRET" docks. Lol Really though let me know.......
There are times of the year when its far more effective and early in the year is one of them, two reasons the fish are not only on brush but they're also out chasing and light boat traffic, once the boats get out its hard to find an area where the traffic don't cause alot of rod bounce.I've also had luck in the fall and winter but it's about impossible to beat pullin cranks in the summer, day in day out dock/brush fishing on loz is hard to beat but if you hit it right spider riggin loz will keep you busy.
