I buy little spinners and jigs seperately and make "custom beetle spins" so to speak. I like the spinner just big enough the blades turn easily during slow retrieves, and the jig just heavy enough to keep it from rolling sideways.

Black and chart solid body tube.

Retrieve depends on how they want it. Usually start with a slow retrieve reeling about three cranks and letting it fall a few seconds, and repeat. If that doesn't work I'll speed it up. Sometimes a fast retrieve will trigger bites...

All Good answers keep it up fellas. I like a nice small 1/16 to 1/64th marabou jig in any of the bright color combonations.

Ive always thought the confidence you have in your lure is 99% of the battle... The other 1 % is whether the fish are biting.

Cool Back to Back with Mack&Mack

When I'm not using minnows with my system.
I gotta say for the spring, Pony Heads with Blk/Cht RockyToptube since they won me that tourney.
(one of my posts was titled "Give 'em what they love or Give 'em what they hate"
and they hated those pony heads this spring. they attacked them with a vengance.

I use 1/4 round heads fav color is chartruse.
W/ 1" Rocky Top tubes. Wht/Cht, Blk/Cht, Pumpkin/Cht, or on Texoma you'd better have solid orange.
(Like I say: "It ain't no use if it ain't got chartruse in it somewhere"
    Thumbs Up

1/16th ball head jig with a #2 light wire hook...probably bright pink jighead (or bright orange) with a blue/black/chart curly tail jig (Southern Pro Hot Grub) trolled behind my boat.
