Default deep water and the spawn

how will all the rain and high water levels affect the spawn. will they hang on the them till conditions are right? will they spit them out anyway? will the eggs even survive it not set in the right conditions?

I fished Monday in the very back of Clear Creek on the Tebo Arm on Truman and the Crappie where about 10 ft off the bank still spawning on the original bank line. But we caught a few fish close to the bank, which when the lake drops the eggs will be ruined. It was non stop action but caught a ton of small males with a few nice females.

Bigby hit most of it. Fish already on beds will usually stay in the now deeper water assumming they hadn't just moved up. Fish just moving in will spawn up shallower. Pretty much this fluctuating water can kill a spawn class if it changes at the wrong times. Shallow nests can be left high and dry while the deeper nests may not get ample sun light to incubate the eggs. On the other hand, if the water goes up and stays up look for a phenominal spawn class with all of the extra cover for fry to hide in.
