Default Smithville Test Run and a Stick Story!

Went last night just to make sure the ol Bass Cat would still float and run. It was a complete success except for the fishin. The ol Yamaha Fired right up! Thumbs Up Haven’t had it out thanks to Alex, Mark and another Buddy at Truman.

The kids went along for the ride and we tried back in owl creek with no success but the water temp was 64(main lake still only about 58-59 - Still too cold for bank fish ).

Ever see a 13 year old girl jump from the front deck to the back deck of a bass boat and clear a dual console by a foot! :D It was so funny I think I wet myself when this stick came out of the water. SNAKE! RoflRoflRofl At least she’s a good driver!

I did manage a couple of small crappie and a gill in 13 fow around the rip rap next to the owl creek bridge. By the other post maybe I was at the wrong part of the lake. Banks should be open soon though!!!

    Great Story!!
Have to admit some of my best trips I've called for the net more than once to land that THREE FOOT STICK.
Sure makes a feller want to hide!
I just KNOW it was a big one!!!

Maybe if you changed the name from bass cat to crappie cat you would catch more crappie...... just a thought.......

That is awesome. I hear those sticks are kinda tough to fillet, but with a little breading and a good hot oil bath, they eat up pretty well.....depending on how many cervesas are used in the "batter", if you know what I mean!!!!!!

I'm changing out my water pump with your boat motor guy on Thursday evening, so I'll be good to go for the camp weekend!!!
I believe in catch and release.....right into the grease!!!!!
