    Default Jet Drive Motors


    How low can you go on Horse power with these drives? I've read you lose 20 HP going to jet drive. Thanks. CF

    I've heard they lose 30% so if you have a 90hp with a prop it would be a 60 with a jet.

    Mercury makes a 20hp jet.....It has a 25 powerhead and you are pushing to get 20hp...More like 18hp.....

    I have a 40 hp yamaha and it is rated a 28. Mine says 28 on the motor so I guess that is right....
