Default Which brand of tube jigs??

Just wanted to see what brands of tube jigs everyone is using. Right now I have been using Southern pro. I like them but started fishing painted jig head with the barb, and them dont seem to last very long. They rip and slide down after 3 or 4 fish. Just wanting to see what other brands are out there that might be better for this situation.

    Thumbs up

Hey TAE73, if you try these, I think you will find you love them. They are much more durable, and just a little larger than normal tubes. The heads are double thick, somewhat semi solid. They also have great color patterns too. I use just about any of them on the market, but I prefer these when I am using tubes:

I also use lots of Southern Pro tubes. What I have found that helps my tubes last longer is to put a little super glue on the jig head as slide the tube up the jig. I make up several jigs with tubes already super glued in place ready to be tied on. When ever I have to break off, tube gets torn up, or what to change color I simply tie on new jig already having tube. Keep confidence color baits ready every time I go out. Also carry bottle of supper glue with brush applicator in the boat.

I use to fish Mizmo tubes but I have made the switch to Midsouth tubes.

They are a little bigger that most tubes and hold up well.

Doesn't anyone use jigheads designed for use with tubes? The ones that slip into the tube - no exposed head?

I use to use the ones that slipped inside the body. But have found out some locally poured jigs with weedguards that I really like. Now I just have to figure out what color head to match with what color of body.

And have had the tubes standup pretty well, I heard Mizmo was really good, but then I saw the prices. I will have to check out Midsouth

    MidSouth's prices at last printing: 20 skirts -$1.50 100 skirts= $5.00 10 or more 100 pkg skirts= #4.50ea. Shipping is a flat $6.95, which isn't a lot if you order a bunch at a time.

I don't use the insider heads, but I know that a lot of people do. I like the bigger profile and color contrast that an exposed head gives you. I also use glow heads which I think make a huge difference at times.

Mizmo tubes are worth the extra money.

Southern Pro has done right by me and my partner. They sent us 2 complete Pro staff kits of their tubes & tails for finnishing 7th in the points team race for CAST. I really love their twisters!
