I bet that flathead was a handfull! Does that mean you're staying here on Wednesday?
Fished up north on the river side and found some big males in about a foot of water. Caught 15, 2 were 12 the rest were 10 to 11. All males, only one short to throw back. Water temp was 63 to 64. Jigs with green worked best. Also caught a 7 lb flathead. That was fun on my Sam Heaton 10ft rod, glad I had spider wire on it.
Feel the thump, hear the drag.

Thanks for the report, I think Smithville might be real good for a while once it finally get's going.
That's amazing what one day will do. Keeferfish and I went up north on Friday morning for a while and the only thing we ended up with was a big old green carp Bill caught. After I reminded him we were crappie fishing and not green carp fishing, we went on about our way....catchin....basically...NUTTIN!!!!Doh
We didn't get skunked, but had to resort to trolling in about 9 ft of water, real slow with a double rig / roadrunner on the bottom.
Bill has a pic of that big old bass, it was pretty impressive...
I'm glad to see they are on the bank....finally!!!!
Thanks for the report.
I believe in catch and release.....right into the grease!!!!!
