I love mine. Have the 55 thrust and can go all day on one battery. I troll with it and it pushes my boat easily. As a matter of fact I have to back troll if I want to stay under .5 mph. On number 5 forward it moves my boat 2.6 mph.

It also makes a great backup in case your gas motor dies in a lake. Min Kota got me home many a times when I have motor trouble.

5 speed. Got it on sale at Gander for $189.00. I try to keep the speed steady and not switch gears a lot.

Thanks. That was exactly what I was wondering as I am looking at the variable speed to be able to dial it down to a snail speed as needed. Ya had me worried for a minute that it would still be too fast.

I plan on using it on the bow Talked to Mina Kota people and the said it's fine to do that. I am concerned about the mounting I've done it for many years on my endura's and earlier models, not sure about this new mount anybody know any thing??
