Default Anyone fishing Wappapello at these water levels?

I was told by an experienced fisherman that crappie fishing at Wappapello can actually be quite good with the current water level(cresting around 394 on Friday). Anyone else confirm they have fished it at these levels? Heck the record level is 399. Is this dude pulling my chain?

Can't speak to the Wapp specifically, but if you can find some flats where the fish are chasing dinner, it can really be awesome! That's what we do on Twain when it goes way high and man can you really get on em!

I have caught fish at those levels before, but I was mostly single poling spawning areas. Tough to do when you're not used to deep jiggin and your brush is 15'+ deep. Hang up a bunch. I don't know why a guy couldn't find some shad and spider rig though.

I hear ya on that all ramps are closed and the corps is thinking the water is going to top the
Concrete barrier at the dam parking lot. I drove past this morn and its almost there. All this rain and I just got a new boat haven't been able to take her out yet.

Just heard the water has or is getting ready to come over the top and will be shutting the road down in one hour. Pretty sure that was the only road not under water to Poplar Bluff.

As of this morning the predicted crest was for early friday morning at 395. The top of the emergency spillway at Redman is 394.74. That is without any additional rainfall. We've got another 1.5in up here today and it all pretty much ends up in the St.Francois river, so that crest may go up. Enough is Enough.
