seneca river ( erie canal sys. )

Does anybody know if seneca river is closed to boating for high water. i have not seen anythiing or heard anything.

I gotta imagine it's closed. It's waaaaaayyyyyy high right now. I drive down Rte 34 every day, and this morning the water was about 2 inches from going over the seawall at Davaney's. You can see trees in the river here and there too.

More rain in the forecast right through Friday. I don't see the river coming down at all for a while yet.

Hey Fatman, good to see ya! A shame about the UL site, but life goes on. I'm still active here on CDC and a couple other boards.

I'm getting ready to post a report from this weekend. Actually had a short break in the monsoon season so I could get out - took advantage of it.
