    Default spawn time

we fished sunday water temp. low 70's and high we caugh 40 good bream and 3 or 4 shellcrackers but the fish were all over not stacked up like last year. when i cleaned them only two had eggs and the sacks were very small
do you think the spawn is over or late and the egg are just starting to grow do bream spawn before the shellcrackers

possable the fish moved because of the hurricane we fish southern louisiana and last year we would catch 100 or more 3/4 of a lbs or better in one spot

Bream spawn multiple times. I love the full moon cycles. IF you found bream without eggs wait until the next moon cycle and then chase them again....I venture to say they will have eggs..if the water aint in the 70's yet them shallow bream wont be there try deeper water. This is my opinion only....

From what I've been told, shellcrackers spawn before the bream. Here in AR, the shellcrackers usually start around mid-late April and the bream in May. But with this crazy weather pattern, who knows when they will spawn. I'm not sure what drives them more, temp or photoperiod.

Are you guys referring to "bream" as in blue gills or what?
Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in hospitals dying of nothing.
