    Default LoZ on Saturday

Drove the hour and a half to Pa He Tsi to crappie fish. Went to launch the boat and realized the outboard key was 80 miles away back home. We went ahead and launched and figured we may as well try it since we were there. We stayed within 150 yards of the ramp and easily caught three limits and tossed back several. Id guess we caught between 70-80 in a few hours. Color didnt matter much but if I had to pick one I would say red/chart slab busters were the best.

It turned out to be a great day of fishing thankfully. I figured the day was shot when I realized we left they boat key at home but it was more of a blessing. I doubt I would have fished that cove if we had the outboard going.

Put in at Coffman about 7:00 am with a buch of tournament traffic. We were killin them early in the morning, throwing back anything under 10". Then the thunderstorm hit lightening and hail (pea sized), we pulled into an open boat slip for shelter. After the storm they were shut down for a couple hours. They seemed to pick back up when the afternnon sun came out. We were able to scrape out our limits, if we had been keeping all those 9.5 inchers at the begining we would've had limits well before noon.

Glad you stuck it out and caught a bunch. We launched out of PB a couple of weeks ago and absolutely wore them out in the 3 or 4 coves straight across the main channel from the launch area....... would be a long haul with nothing but a trolling motor pushing you, but something to remember next time you are in the area.
We do not want the gift of a fish; neither do we expect a lesson on fishing; what we direly need is a chance to fish
