We tried for about 4 hours on Friday and caught.......wait for it.....absolutely.....NUTTIN!!!! Tried some deep, shallow, trees, rocks, main lake, not exactly main lake, went up north, tried the dam and basically did everything except try to snag one of those big old carp at the dang marina!!!! (the thought did cross my mind, I must admit...)
I should have listended to my brothers on here and just tried watkins mill first.
I'm staying optimistic and saying this will be great for the crappie camp. Of course, that is hoping the weather gods don't take a dump on us.....again!!!!
I believe in catch and release.....right into the grease!!!!!

The weather couldn't be anything but great! You know the luck I've had.
Alex (KC Area, Smithville Lake)
fished the docks friday afternoon- ZERO we shoudl be catching lots of crappie right now on Easter weekend ( I usually am limiting out by now)
Wish y'all could have found em better luck next go round
It's going to get better guys. I think back to the C.Com tournament last spring and those pigs that were caught. Should be some good fish on the banks when they get there.
Lee and I think Truman is the place to be right now.Thumbs Up
Progressive Marine Insurance SUCKS!. If you hit a submerged object they will try to prove manufacturers defect....stay away from them.
Krazy, you and Lee look like you had a good day! Congrats
Feels like I've been saying, "it'll be another week or two before we start tearing em up" for months now...
