Default My 1st report from LOZ

Hey all! I am new to the forum and thought I would post my first thread and give my first fishing report. Went fishing on Thursday on the Glaize arm. Found a few slabs in 3-4 foot of water (had to trim motor up to get there) Lots of females full of eggs 1 foot off of the bank. Anything with a chart tail works good. Hopefully this rain doesn't mess up the fishing.

Thanks for the welcome. I have been lurking in this forum for some time, have learned lots of stuff from you all. Have fished LOZ all my life and just bought a new boat this year so hoping to maybe venture up around Truman soon. I usually fish around the 7-12 mm on the Glaize arm. I have a few good spots that usually produce good crappie, however this week they have been slow so I ventured to warmer shallower water and it paid off with several "slabs." I've been out 5 times this spring and my fishing buddy and I have been lucky enough to limit out every time. I have also done well below Bagnell Dam in the past. My lure of choice is definately the slab buster, it performs better than any lure I have tried in the past. Thanks again for the welcome and hope to see you guys out there.

Bugman, I'll be in a little green Xpress, make sure to say hey if I'm sitting in your spot. As far as the cold ones, I'm sure I can contribute to the "toll." I won't be making it down there until next week, gonna give this weather a chance to clear out.
