Default It was a good day on the Gravois.

Went out with Hiya and another buddy to the Gravois arm of LOZ yesterday and had a blast. We boated somewhere around 70 total and managed to come home with three limits of nice eaters. We caught very few on the banks. Most of what we caught were in 30 FOW and 10 to 15 deep. 1/16 ounce roadrunner with a black/yellow curly tail worked pretty good for us. I don't think we could have asked for a better day.

Nice! Glad you had a good one and found the fish.
We do not want the gift of a fish; neither do we expect a lesson on fishing; what we direly need is a chance to fish

We caught mostly males, but the few females we landed were still full of eggs. A few of them looked like they could explode at any time though. I don't think it is going to be too much longer.

True, but then the males will be back up there protecting the nest..........few good weeks on LOZ left I bet.

We fished between the 2-3 mm main lake points 10-12 fow and cuaght two limits of big females yesterday afternoon.Had to have the wind blowing in on the point and had to be in that water depth any shallower and only cuaght small males.
There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.
