My 40 hp Mercury 2006 motor thru the hub exhaust has a sequence of number printed just above the prop on the motor. 13 x 26 and then 2.00:1. I then took off my prop and found the following information - SOLAS - C111 / 8x13 RN.....Can someone help me understand what these numbers mean. Mark, the 13/26 or 2.00:1 is a reference to the number of turns the shaft makes to how many turns the prop makes..
8x13 is 8" diameter & 13 pitch....I would think a 10x 13 would be closer to what you need..Just an opinion..What rpm are you presently turning with the 8x13? What make and model boat do you have?
