I personally sink every War Eagle I see on the water. Lol. Seriously, they are a great boat and Tall Timbers new one makes me want one now!

I got an 860 DSV with a 90 Yam 4-stroke. I don't have it broke in yet, I don't know what it will run out. Around 4000 rpm, I'm at about 30 mph or so. I don't remember exactly. I'm hoping it will run out around 40 - 43 mph. I would think that the 861 would be a little heavier boat. Canepole had a 90 on an 861, he could give you some info. I think he went to a 115 yam 4-st. for pulling tubers though.

The reason I asked where you were is that I have a dealer down here in SEMO that was very reasonable (compared to other dealers) on this boat of mine. If you were close it might have paid you to talk to him too.

Eberlin marine is where I got my boat. have no complaints at all. gave me a great price on my old boat and after using my boat for 4 months, I decided to upgrade the original trolling motor to a 24vlt wireless and they gave me 400$$ for the original troller! yup, those boys have taken good care of me over the past few years.

I thought about going with the 115, but didn't want any more weight in the rear than absolutely necessary. I will duck hunt out of this boat also. The 90 has a good little zip on it though on take-off, so it if will run out about 40 or so, I'll be tickled. I ain't trying to run all that fast.
