    Default Harris Lake 4/9, Overcast

Been waiting for the right water temp...I have been catching them in 24 to 26 ft. in the last few weeks...water temp last two weeks was 60. Sat. I went in two creeks that I fish and the water temp was 65 at 7:45 and I knew I would nail them...I did...fishing 2 inch curly tail jig I had 21 over a lb. and another 60 typical hand size slabs at harris. Caught and released over 100 total including three white pearch and two hand size male brim. Two to six ft of water.. In one creek they were spawning, I could smell them strong. The second creek the water temp was 67 at 11:00. Here's a pic of the ones I kept for supper. Left the lake at 2:00.

Nice batch of specks there. Can't wait to see those water temps here, still in the low to mid 40s, though we did manage to put a few in the kayak yesterday. Just the start of good things to come. Great job.
It is not about the equipment you have to use,
It is about how you use the equipment you have. :D
