Lousy day fishing. We caught 7 keepers and only one of them was nice, almost a lb. I guess that warm fron gave them lock jaw. Water was very high and loaded with cyprus needles.

    Bill H.,

Yeah, we are through with the goobers and have been for about 3 weeks. We are picking cotton now and will be finished hopefully by thanksgiving. Then we will start on our soybeans and hopefully finish them before Christmas. So I will have to take every break I get to go fishing. Now that rock season is in down here we will take a few trips to Oregon Inlet and catch some big boys but I will still be chasing crappie every chance I get. I went last Monday and fished Pembroke all day and only caught 3 speckles and 1 bass. Maybe after the first of the year we can hook up somewhere down here and chase a few speckles together. This has been the first time that I have been on the computer in a week. I have been up before sunrise and back home late at night all week. It will be this way for a while. My son had a little league game today and I am a coach so I could not fish today and she who must be obeyed has a growing list for me so it sounds like my fishing is shot for a while but I'll let you know how I do if I can slip off for a little fishing :D . keep me posted on fish locations and depth because I lose track this time of year. I don't know when I'll be back on again. I'll check in when I can. Keep hollering at me just give me a few days to respond and I'll get back to you . Good Luck. CF
