Oh, just depends on what they're wanting that day. Slumpbusters, little mohair leeches, Crappie Candys, another little minnow pattern I tie... Heck, sometimes nymphs under an indicator.
Hello, new guy here. Just wondering what your favorite crappie flies are.
For me it would have to be the Picket Pin, and the Improved Black Gnat.

Forgot my favorite! Pink-over-white Clouser minnow with bead chain eyes.
Bead head Greeny weeny tied in red. Size 12 worked well Monday.
When the fish are in less than three feet or so of semi-yukky water, a size 8 yellow Marabou Muddler - unweighted - has proven its worth to me.
Got a bucket-mouth bass on it one day, too!

Would have to say a fly that i tie that resembles a clouser foxy red minnow. just natural brown off the back side of a buck tail red flash and bead chain eyes, have caught hundreds of crappie on that patter and my biggest small mouth bass, and my biggest carp(13 lbs) all on that pattern. And also depending on the mood of the fish I would say a nymph under a stike indicator.
