Nice! Always great to find a new spot.
i decided to stop and drop a jig in to some stumps on this little creek.
caught 30 crappie in about 40 minutes. the wind was blowing bad so i wasn't always able to make an accurate cast. but everytime i landed the jig in that "certain spot", i caught a crappie. caught one nice shell cracker too.
kept the 15 biggest ones and will be having those for dinner tonight.
thanks to all of you experts here for the great advice and tips.

How cool is that? Good for you for stopping and trying someplace new!
Your catch shows that this sport is open to all.

thats to cool. You have gotten yourself a personal Honey hole there Brad!
yeah, now i need to buy a "nucanoe" so that i can get up and downstream. surely there are more beds on this little creek.
they sure do like those yellow crappie thunder jigs. so do the bass and shellcrackers evidently.
Your makin it real hard to drive on past the creeks now.

wonder how shallow of a creek crappie will live in. We have a always running creek behind my house that has some deep holes in it but don't know if a fish even lives in the thing. it ties into a bigger creek but just never have seen a fish in it. so was wondering if a fish could possibly be in it.
