Tried it. It's great stuff, but the price puts it out of my range for crappie fishing.

I use the 6 lb clear 100% fluro - great stuff. I had to get some "cheater" reading glasses to see the line to tie knots though! Hard to see in the water as well. Might want to try one of the colors.

I use it for leader material. I would never use it to spool a reel, though -- too pricey.

Is the price the only con? Does it help catching more fish?

It has helped me due to the fact the clear line can't be seen in the water - especially when the fish spook easily.

How long of a leader do you use, I was thinking on trying it this year. Thanks

It varies, but 2-3' is about average. If I were fishing in a very clear trout stream, I might double that.

Only one that I'm aware of. Some people have trouble getting certain knots to work with it.

Depends on who you ask. Some people swear by it. Others think it's a gimmick.

I use it in two situations:

    1) When I'm fishing very clear water.

    2) When I want a faster sink rate, especially with very light jigs. (Flouro is denser than mono, so it sinks faster.)
