    Default BnM Prostaff Trolling Rod

Anyone out there use the 8-12'ers? I was thinking about picking a few up to use to pull cranks for crappie as well as a bottom bouncer rod when pulling 1-2.5oz bottom bouncers for walleye on Bull Shoals? Will these rods hold up to the occasional 8lb-10lber? Has anyone used them with 2oz. weights?

I have 4 of them, used them mostly for Walleye and Saugeye, wish I could say I had caught 6 - 10 pounders, but not yet, I have only used them several times, but I got them because of all the positive statements from people here, and they have yet to be anything but great, though as noted, with minimal use. One of the big selling points though is that Mr. Monk has them at bargain basement prices, and that B'n'M reportedly has replacements if the top half of the pole breaks so you do not have to buy a new pole. I had intended to use them for spider rigging too, but I have yet to get into that.

They will handle 2-4 oz weights pushing cranks as well as pulling and are great for trollin(spider riggin).

These sound like they might be the ticket as far as bottom bouncer rods go, plus they can double duty pulling cranks as well.

I wish I could say that I caught 8lb+ fish often fishing for walleye, but mostly I just don't want to saw one off hanging a catfish, drum, etc.....

    Mike,
I have 4 of them.2/12 and 2/14. They are designed for trolling, and have good backbone with sensitive tip. Go to bnmpoles.com
and read the stats.I think they tested them with 5 or 6 oz. weights

I have landed catfish in the 8 to 10 lb range on them and also a foul hooked 15lb paddlefish once.

How fast is the action on these, hopefully not too fast? If anyone out there has a couple they want to get rid of, let me know!

They are great rods...I have 2-8's, 2-10's, 2-12's, and 2-14's. I pull crankbaits with them and also spider rig with them.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.
