    Default Empty Belly?

Have not cleaned a crappie this spring from Truman with anything substantial in its belly. No shad-crawdads nothing but a little black thick liquid. Question? is everyone seeing the same thing--are the shad too big now? Are they digesting it faster in colder water?
    Whats the deal?

last crappie I filet was in feb and they were full of 2" shad......... haven't cleaned one since, so does seem strange, guess maybe what we are catching are females, because there bellies look full, and the males haven't taken on dark colors yet....... but it isn't far away..........
