    Default Mississippi River Lake


    Went fishing today on a Miss. river lake near Arkansas city. Caught 24 crappie and 1 bass The lake is shallow only about 5-6 ft. deep so is warming fast, temp. was 59 when I got there and 62 when I left. Caught the fish with a jig tipped with a minnow trolling.

    This is a small lake up the levee from Kate. Right across the levee at Arkansas City. Just past the entrance to Choctaw Island WMA.
