That is what it is all about. You have just created a permanent memory that will last her lifetime. No toy in the world could create the same feeling she had when her picture was being taken with that fish in her hand.

I did that with my son when he was about that age, was holding one crappie just like your daughter, he is now 18yrs old and still has the pic hanging on his wall. Keep it up!:p

Thanks for all the replies, folks :) Yes, luckily she didn't take after me
in the looks department. Actually, Allison (big sister) is the one who
caught the fish, but she was kind of busy when we got home, so I asked
Jonie if she wanted to be famous :D I thought it was still a bit cold for the
little one to go, turned out it was too cold for the big one - she ended
up with all my extra clothes on, and I about froze. What David is talking
about, I was talking to him on the phone, and had to stop and threaten
bodily harm, Allison decided all the big rocks around the boat ramp should
be in the lake instead. Ain't it funny how they do stuff like that when they
think you're occupied and not watching? The first big "SPLASH" sort of
gave it away though. Pete, we gonna get together and fish this year, for
sure. Just have to get you to slow down enough!

I will be honest with you folks, I fished with Jeff one day back in the summer. I learned a great deal in one day about suspended, summer time crappie on crankbaits that I still think a good bit about today. He fishes a style that is HIGHLY effective and I wish my boat was set up to do more of. He use to think he was out of luck in cold weather, but he has since found out even 45 degree water temps doesn't matter. They still love those cranks.
