Has any one been fishing Mark Twain a couple friends of mine have trip planned next week, and are wondering what fishing has been like near state park and southfork area.

My 2 cents worth would probably say not a good choice for lakes right now.
Up in NE corner of state still real cold compared to mid-south missouri.
I've fished MT before but never this early. Good luck...
If we did what was most important in life there
would be a shortage of Bibles.................and fishing poles

I think a feller could catch a few up at twain, after it warms up some again. I would try sandy creek or shell branch first. or any southern facing bluffs for that matter. but I also wouldn't rule out the southfork. the western side of the lake always has fish. just keep on the move till you find em. good luck!
