    Default Need some Truman help!

I am just getting into Crappie fishing and not having much luck. I went today and fished the bluff on the right side of Little Tebo and didnt do very well. I only had on small one. Might have had something to do with not getting there until 10 am. I was fishing pink/white tube but i think the guy that was there before wiped them all out. I then went to the bluffs across from the dam heading toward mile long bridge but didnt have a clue what to look for. Does anybody have any suggestions? Thanks for any help you can provide.

I have'nt been up there this year Brett. Try going up the Little Tebo past Thibaut Point. If you have a map you'll see the old road crosses the lake going north from Thibaut boat ramp to a point on the other side. Start there and try on up to the big flat in the bend. We do pretty well there but it's a little earlier than i normally go. They should be there somwhere, also try some minners. Sometimes that is what all they want...izzy

Izzy, You probably know that lake better than I do. I just told him that during this time of year I hit the Bluffs by LT2 and fish the deep side of the cut-through. That and I always catch good quality and quantity of fish in the Bucksaw area od the lake. Nothing that you already didn't know. LOL

Since your fishing the Tebo area RC, your not too far from the long shoal area either. Look on your map, when you see the bends in the creek channel fish along those bends in about 25 feet of water...their usually about 15 feet down..also fish under the 7 highway bridge good crappie in the bridge pilings...however.... the water is warming up so keep an eye and the water temp...them big rascals are gonna start moving up closer soon!
