    Where are you finding them? What depth? Im looking to get out and do some early spring fishing, and I havent the slightest idea where to start.

    small bays, marinas, smaller lakes. i start catching them when water temp hits 50

    What Frank said.

    Right now, they could be just about anywhere, not warm enough for them to start staging for prespawn. In fact, ice out is only a couple days old on some bodies of water around my neck of the woods.

    I'm still staring at ice wall to wall. This time last year water temp was in the 50's and we were on pannies and pre-spawn bass in the shallows.
