thrill bobbers from dicks. their computer must have messed up because they had all bobbers that were normally .75 to .99 cents on for .02 cents. went in and bought every last one they had and paid the girl with a dollar bill and told her to keep the change.

Im a huge fan of the esb floats when it comes to slip floats. ESB stands for "Ever lasting slip bobber" and they will in fact last a lot longer than most slip floats. They have a GLASS bead inserted into the top of the straw and the bottom has a brass insert. All the floats in the past after a few days use would get a cut in the top of the float and then your line wouldnt thread down to the correct depth. Ever see your bobber stop not go all the way to the top of the bobber but it still stand up. Thats normally because your line makes tiny grooves in the top of the straw. And the biggest reason for buying these is because Im buying from a family owned business that puts these floats together right here in the USA. The first link you can read about the floats and see in detail other floats that have "failed". The second link is the ordering form that shows all the different sizes and colors. I love the smallest one. Holds up 1/16th oz perfectly.......... Read about them, I love em. I don't know these folks personally but did e-mail them to ask them a few questions. What I found was that he decided to start making these bobbers because he was tired of junk floats. I was tired of the same thing when I ran across his website. I don't have junk floats any more!!!!!!!!

I don't have a favorite brand. I usually use slip bobbers. Reason is flexability of changing depth easily, I can fish deeper than my rod length from a distance, I can quickly stow my rod without having to adjust my bobber, and I can tie a slip float knot (he he and my buddy can't tie one)

    Wagglers from Thill, Drennan, etc.

They cast farther, are more sensitive, are more stable in rough water, and are better for slip float fishing.

Cool THILL give me a thrill

    I like these a lot.

I usually only use slippers here in spring.
    I use a 10ft rod for pitchin' & setting.
That means I will swing the rig out and drop it precisely in tree tops.
That's where the slip part of it comes in. you set the depth above and when
you drop in it goes there straight down and that helps keep you out of tangles.
I've been using a 20# braid for the main line for a few years now and it will
get me out of snags without losing the whole setup.
Some times I use a short 6 or 10# mono leader.
