What im looking for is a place for a beginner fisherman to find somewhere to do some research. obviously this forum helps a lot, and using the search button also helps a lot. but is there a resource that has videos, articles, etc on everything about crappie fishing? when and where to fish, the types of fishing, gear, ways to fish, and ways to rig a pole etc.
again i know all this information is probably on this website somewhere, but it can be hard to search for things when you dont exactly know what you are looking for. i'd like a website or free magazine, or video that just covers the basics, and maybe a little of advanced topics.

i know youtube can be helpful but it is hard to weed out good videos from the millions of useless ones. But yes it is helpful at times.
legato's Pm gave me a great start to researching.
"Crappie Wisdom" by Al Lindner has some good info about crappie and their movements during the different seasons. The book is no longer in print but can be found used at amazon.com.
Are we allowed to post links to other places? I havent been around that much and not sure....if so, I will post what i sent in PM. LOL
Russ Bailey has a bunch of good videos that are worth watching. You can find the links to them here as he's a member. Midwest Crappie TV show. Also the C.A.T. (Crappie Anglers of Texas) have some good videos on you tube that I thought had lots of good info

Tim Huffman has written several easy to follow books and is a really nice fella to talk to if you get a chance. His site is monstercrappie dot net. (This thing wouldn't let me post the address in the actual form it should be.) Don't know what part of Missouri you're in Strahm, but Tim is Poplar Bluff guy. Grizzly Jig carries his books too.

Yes, I fish like a girl. If you tried a little harder, you could too!!
Ed must have some kind of blocking thingy, that reads certain words in a URL & X's it out. I tried posting it, too ... and it X's out everything past the word "monster" :
www.monster************ (maybe it's a "dot net" thing )
However ... if you use the "dot com" version, it will post the link :
www.monstercrappie.com
I don't think this link would be considered a competitor website, since it's where the Crappie Now eMagazine is located
