    Default Need Help On Mercury 150


    I Went Fishing Today And Run My Crank Battery Downi Trolled On Trailerand When I Pulled Out I Noticed A Noise Coming From My Motor.i Think It Was The Trim Motor But The Motor Wasnt Moving.i Jumped Power To Crankin Battery And Trim Worked But Kept Making The Noise.i Unhooked The Batteryand It Quit.stopped There To Ask For Yalls Advice.thanks

    If the trim worked ok its not the trim motor you hear. Could your aerator or bilge pump be turn on? Or if your bilge pump is automatic, something could have gotten under the float keeping it on.

    Thats what I was thinking was a bilge or aerator pump. Could be wrong though. Sure wouldn't be the first time.

    The Noise Is Coming From Inside The Motor About 10 Inches Up From The Top Of The Lower Unit

    There shouldn't be anything in that part of the motor, but the saft and water intake and exhaust ports.
