Hey folks, take a look at this crappie. I may be wrong about this but I don't think so. When I was cleaning this crappie I found it had both sex organs. Both are grossly undersized for this time of year too. You can see the milt on the carcass and in the body cavity, two small white pieces. And, you can see the very small deformed orange roe sack in the ribcage.

If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.
Are you sure that wasn't white fat?
Some fish actually can change sex if conditions / circumstance require it, but most are smaller tropical fish that am aware of...most temperate (cold to warm water) fish are 1 or the other, as far as know, or evr heard of...
Darryl, you didn't catch that up by the nuke plant did you  Birds falling from the sky, fish dying in the river, and now unisex crappie think ill stay on this side of the river LOL.

cray -No, we caught it on Lake Greeson, lol. It's definitely a first for me.
jesse - I'm quite sure it wasn't fat. Originally, the piece of milt was in the ribcage attached opposite end of the small roe sack. You can see a long white tube still attached to the roe. Normally there are two sides to a roe or milt sack. This one had one side as roe and the other as milt. And, both sides are extremely small and somewhat deformed.
