    Default android apps

I recently bought a Galaxy S phone and am new to the smart phone thing. Are there any apps that are great for fishing for the adroid system?

    These are free apps:

Knotsguide - fishing knots and all types of others.

Radarnow - live weather radar for your area.

Sundroid free - sun and moon rise and set times.

Locus is a great gps app. It's pretty much rendered my garmin handheld obsolete. I considered adding Navionics but the reviews weren't that good. Has it improved?

tikl is a free app that is a walkie talkie. It is fun when you are banging the fish and keep telling your buddy on a different part of the lake about it. goes like this.(Beep beep) fish on losers. It is alot like the old nextels but it is free

navionics lakes-South is a great one. Has all the info for 11 bucks that comes on my 150 card on my 997si. Topo maps of most lakes from nebraska to florida. All the big mississippi lakes. Many with 1 ft increments. Wind forecast. gps. I can take a picture and send it. The fellow opening it can see on google maps where i took it. a bargain!!
Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.
The two loudest sounds are a gun that goes bang when it is supposed to go click and one that goes click when it is supposed to go bang.

I have the lakes west version of the Navionics maps on my Droid X, and it works fine. Only thing I don't like about it is it doesn't support horizontal layout.

If your Android has an LED camera flash, I'd recommend downloading on of the flashlight apps from the market. They turn on the LED so you can use the phone as a flashlight. There's a few free ones out there. The one I use is called LED Light. You can put a widget on your phone's screen, so you don't even need to open the app. Never be caught without a flashlight again.
    Don't worry, catch crappie.
